Inscription/Marks: On the back: 0080-Box2-file 17-3 has been replaced with 00080-0042-01734, "Harold Schafer with Billiemeia, Reserve Champ of Mare Class, and John Rouzie(Bowman) with Cherry Punch, Grand Champ of Mare Class", 3 col, 17357, "A Pair", "92" encircled, and the red, dated Tribune stamp.
Summary: Standing proudly beside their prize-winning mares are Harold Schafer of the Bismarck Horse Club and competitor John Rouze of Bowman, North Dakota. Schafer's horse, Billiemeia sports her Reserve Champion of Mare Class ribbon on her halter, and Cherry Punch the Grand Champion of Mare Class on hers. Stacked hay bales fill the background and cars and trucks are visible in the field behind Schafer. The Bismarck Horse Club was founded in 1947 and still (2024) promotes equestrian events and competions.
