Summary: F.C. Thill, H.C. Schwab, Gordon Hill, George Mirich and Don Halmer of the Local 725 Union stand and sit outside the fence of the Standard Oil Refinery in Mandan, each holding a sign announcing their strike against their employer. The basis of the strike was the breach of agreement on the part of the Standard Oil Company by contracting out work to non-union independent contractors. See "Local No. 725, Int. U. of Op. Eng. v. Standard Oil, 186 F. Supp. 895 (D.N.D. 1960)".
