Summary: Mrs. George F. Will, Sr. (Elvira Kangas Will) as she unveils George Will Memorial plaque. __Mrs. George F. Will of Bismarck unveiled a monument honoring her late husband, pioneer seedsman and naturalist, at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park south of Mandan Friday afternoon during special Arbor Day ceremonies. The monument stands in front of a beautiful ponderosa pine tree which was also dedicated to the late Mr. Will. Standing in the background left to right are E. L. Worthington, forestry supervisor with the Soil Conservation Service, Ernest George (directly behind Mrs. Will), superintendent of the Great Plains Field Station and the Rev. A. E. Smith of Bismarck. Mandan Pioneer Saturday May 4, 1957, Front page. Others of the 123 persons attending were: Judge James Morris of the North Dakota Supreme Court and guest speaker Clarence N. Nelson, president of the School of Forestry at Bottineau. Vocal solo "Trees" sung by Mrs. Kenneth Potsborg of Mandan. Peter Starr of New Town (N.D.), Arikara Indian and a member of the tribal council at Fort Berthold Reservation, Russell Reid of the State Historical Society of North Dakota and a representation of the Mandan High School Science students.
