Inscription/Marks: [back] Indian Knob looking S. E. on the left lies Dead Mans Gulch On the right lise the beaver stream valley. Both of course are out of sight. In the right distance the outline of a hole can be faintly distinquished. I was told from repitition of the word of a soldier who fought there that Sully had his cannon on that hill. Certainly it would have been an excellent position. T.Q.
