Inscription/Marks: [back] North Pass Sully probably went along the E. side of the mountains and came thru this pass and then around the Little Missouri River. In this picture the observer looks str. E. The pass is about 3 miles away. This pass is the watershead between the Little Missouri and the big Missouri. Altitude about 2500 ft above sea level.
Summary: Looking from flat plains region to gap between Little Missouri Big Missouri at 2500 feet.
