Inscription/Marks: Back of photo captioned "House of Mr. & Mrs. Grant (right) (Mrs. Grant is daughter of the hereditary chief)" and "Home of Mr. Beesaw - (left)".
Summary: Mr. Beesaw, another unidentified man, and two unidentified women sit and stand on the left porch of the home, while Mr. and Mrs. Grant rest on the right porch. This is typical house for employees on the Devils Lake reservation. Mr. Grant was an interpreter for the agency. Mrs. Grant is a Dakota woman. The other family (left) is the Beesaws. Mr. Beesaw was also an employee of the federal agency at Devils Lake Reservation.
