Summary: Walt Beeler, the Station Manager for Northwest Airlines at the Bismarck Airport bends down out on the tarmac and pretends to scold a large cat, known as Old Tom. Old Tom and several other cats have made it their habit to greet incoming planes at the airport, establishing friendly relations with airport and airline staff. Old Tom is pretending to be apologetic. Supplied to the Tribune by the publicity department of North west Airlines.
