Title: People on Broadway Street for "Shopping Day" in Fargo (N.D.)

Inscription/Marks: On the back: col. 75/576, "50", and "B.M. Holt-526-14 St. so. Fargo 'Shopping Day' 6/9/40-Class 'C'".
Summary: The crossing arms blocking the Northern Pacific Railroad tracks are down across the tracks as they pass through the busy street in downtown Fargo (N.D.). Men, women and children are in the street and on the sidewalks. Cars are parked in the wide center of Broadway on the block which is home to the businesses Buttreys, Luger Furniture, and the Alex Stern clothing store. A United States flag decorates a speakers platform which is placed in the center near the parked cars. Hundreds of people have turned out for an event called "Shopping Day" on June 9, 1940.
