Summary: Hazel Frazee cover for Child's Life in September 1930 with a poem about reading material for the new semester. Mounted on the back of portrait of Herbert Hoover. __Hazel Frazee was a commercial art illustrator and painter in Chicago Illinois in 1919-1920. She exhibited at AIC and was a member of the Chicago SA. Hazel Frazee was born on 18 Jan 1890 to Abraham and Helen Fenton Frazee in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois and died 18 Jan 1972. (Husband Stephen Frazee) Chicago, Illinois, formerly was engaged in Commercial art. For nine years she designed and painted the covers for Child Life, and did much of the illustrating for the inside of the magazine; also did art work for the David C. Cook Publishers, who in 1949 or 1950, bought five of her poems. Three years ago, Miss Frazee began losing her sight. Summary: At some point in time the State Historical Society separated photographs into collections by size. The A collection consists of items 4 X 5” or less, the B collection consists of items 5 X 7” or less, the C collection consists of items 8 X 10” or less, the D collection consists of items 11 X 14” or less, and the E collection consists of items larger than 11 X 14”.

  • “Item Detail” searches the Title, Creator and Summary fields of all item-level records.
  • “Collection Number” searches the Collection Number field only and requires an exact match.

The “DETAILS” button provides additional information about an item, as well as the following options:

  • “Collection Summary” details the contents of the entire collection in which the selected item is located.
  • You can print the image and its corresponding details by selecting “Print".
  • “Digitized Images from the Collection” returns a list of all digitized items within that collection (available from the “Collection Summary” screen).
