Inscription/Marks: [front-print] Mouse River at West Park, Minot, N.D. [back-written] Minot N. Dak. Apr 27, 16 Dear Friend: We arrived in Dak. all O.K. My sister was certainly glad to see us. We are having a glorious time. It is quite cold here yet, won't make garden for a couple wks. The roads are quite bad here how are they down there? We started to town Fri. with the car and got stuck twice going 5 mi. Had to be pulled out both times so we turned around & came back home. I think we can go by the lst of the wk. The wind dries the roads. There was a car out from twon today but said the road was not very good yet. Will close for now, answer soon. From your friend, Mrs. N. Merrick, Minot N. Dak. R. R. 3. [addressed] Mrs. Emil Hoffman, Maquoketa, Iowa.
Summary: A man on a ferry moving across the river at a park. Both shores have landing facilities. On the right there are benches and a roof above the platform.
