Summary: Birds eye view of the hotel. Constructed in 1910 by designer Alexander McKenzie; it was originally named the McKenzie Hotel until good friend of Alexander, Edward Patterson purchased it in 1927 and renamed it Patterson Hotel. It's construction was ongoing for twenty years and was the tallest building in Bismarck until 1934 when the new State Capitol building was completed. It was a hotspot for politicians through the 1960's.
