Inscription/Marks: [front-print] Lutheran Synod Church, Esmond, N.D. Come all ye sinners, salvation is free, And a poor man can prosper in Esmond, N.D. [back-written] Dear H. Send you another card from N. Dak where my brother lives, that it would add to your collection. Don't know if you have any from that state or not. Had quite a little fall of snow last night- it's melting fast today, leaves the streets in a very muddy condition. With love from both, Lou. Mrs. E. L. Chick, East Limington, Maine.
Summary: A gothic style church building with large steeple. A hitching post stands to the left, and a utility pole is at center. The Lutheran community in Esmond initially worshipped in the First Congregational Church of Esmond (now Bethany Evangelical Free Church). In 1906 this church was built, featuring a Kelgan pipe organ. The church is officially known as Trinity Lutheran Church.
