Summary: A large brick building featuring stores on the ground floor and offices on the upper levels. Three other buildings are visible to the right. Men are scattered on the sidewalk in front of the storefronts. There is a wagon parked on the street at lower right. The Budge, Griggs & Co. Block, between the W. F. Perry Grocery store and the Herald building, was also known as the syndicate block. The Minneapolis Store, the Chicago Clothing House, S.C. Bjornstad's store, and Rand Brothers shared the building. There was office space on the upper levels. This block burned in 1897. None of the buildings still stand.
