Summary: View of town from an elevated position. Mostly wooden residential buildings are visible. Trees line most of the streets and there is a lawn in the left foreground.||First settlement was in 1872 and the community was known as Morton and Lincoln until 1878 when the name changed to Mandan. Located directly across the Missouri River from Bismarck, Mandan is the seat of Morton County.
