Title: F. R. Stockton at Custer's grave

Summary: F.R. Stockton stands in front of one of the white markers on the Little Bighorn Battlefield, with his hat over his heart. The fence that surrounds the 7th Cavalry monument is visible behind him, as is another white stone marking the place of a fallen soldier. The roof of a car parked at the top of the hill is also visible.||The remains of about 220 soldiers, scouts and civilians are buried around the base of the 7th Cavalry monument. In 1881, bodies were exhumed from the battlefield and reburied in a single grave here.
