Summary: The Father Belcourt chapel (about 1851) was located near this old cottonwood tree on Emmerling Avenue in what is now Walhalla, N.D. Chapel and tree have long disappeared and there is nothing to identify the place, the Kittson warehouse, now on the state grounds stood to the north a short distance.
