Title: George A. Custer's house being dismantled, Fort Abraham Lincoln (N.D.)

Summary: Men, women, and children remove the wood and other usable items from what was once George and Elizabeth Custer's house at Fort Abraham Lincoln. The front porch has already been completely removed, and the windows have all been removed as well. Materials are also being recycled from another building, visible behind the Custer House.||The original fort and buildings at Fort Abraham Lincoln were disassembled in 1894. A reconstruction of the Custer House was opened to the public in June 1989.
