Summary: View looking down Main Street. Storefronts are on the left with several cars parked on that side of the street. The railroad depot is on the right. Street lights run and paved sidewalks are on both sides of the street.||This community was founded as Pleasant Valley Siding in 1880. The name was changed to Dickinson the following year. Dickinson became the seat of Stark County in 1883. The Northern Pacific Railroad played a vital part in the early development of this city.
