Summary: Outdoor portrait of Sitting Crow and his family. They are arranged in four rows with older girls seated at bottom in calico dresses and skirts, the next row has Sitting Crow's wife, two young sons and mother. His wife and her mother have striped and patterned blankets over their outfits, the son in the middle has a plaid blanket over his clothes and has short hair, the other young child is seated on the grandmother's lap, partially covered by her blanket. Another young boy is standing above this row in a light coloured shirt with short hair. Sitting Crow and his oldest son are in dark coats with scarf ties standing behind and above the rest. Open fields and trees are visible in the background.
