Summary: Full length standing portrait of young child in white skirt with dark cape and white bow tie, dark stockings and ribbon tied shoes. The boy, identified as Antoine de Vallombrosa, the Marquis de Mores, holds a small rifle. Born in 1858, the image shows him at about age 4. Antoine Amédée Marie Vincent Manca de Vallambrosa, more often called by his title, the Marquis de Morès, was an entrepreneurial Frenchman and a key player in the North Dakota badlands in the 1880s.
