Title: DeMores group at waterfront
Date: Circa 1865
Inscription/Marks: [back] "Mores dans le cassis a Gauche" , a possible translation is "The Mores with the house on the left" . . . . and 0042-15.
Summary: A large group of men and women stand or sit in straight-backed chairs on the sandy shore of an ocean. The notes on the photograph's back indicate these are members of the Mores family. The architectural style of the building in the distance strongly favors a location on the coast of France. The structure is large enough to be a hotel or grand home. The women are in long dresses and holding umbrellas to shield their faces. Men are in suits and wearing hats and holding walking canes.
