Summary: Genevieve, Duchesse de Vallombrosa, and mother of the Marquis de Mores sits for a formal portrait with her daughter, Claire. The Duchesse is wearing a dark dress with white lace bow tie and dark hat. Young Claire is wearing a long dress with plaid appliqué and matching coat and white bow tie. She holds a light colored parasol in her left hand.||Genevieve was the daughter of the Duc de Cars, and married Richard, Duc de Vallombrosa. She had four children, Antoine-Amedee-Marie-Vincent-Amat (the Marquis de Mores), Odet (a son who only lived a few months), a daughter Claire, and a son Amedee. __From Louis de Vallombrosa family album.
