Title: Ranch house in Medora (D.T.)

Inscription/Marks: On the back: 0042-73.
Summary: Dominating the photograph is a large, two story log house with double-hung windows and a wood awning protecting the lower front window. The door on the photo right side is open and beyond the "cabin" is another sod-covered log structure. A man stands at the front corner of the two story log cabin holding the upper section of the barrel of a rifle with his right hand and a bird in his left hand down at his side next to the white dog. Another man is standing next to the far corner photo left of the log house holding the barrel of his rifle with his left hand and standing next to his saddled dark horse with the remains of a large elk at his feet (5x5). In the background are the buttes of the Medora, Dakota Territory area.

Summary: An artificial collection from a variety of sources, the collection includes images of family and businesses owned by Marquis de Mores, primarily in Medora, ND and in France. Includes prints, negatives, and albums.
