Title: Louis Vallombrosa as a baby
Date: 1885-1886
Inscription/Marks: On the back: 0042-84.
Summary: The son of the Marquis de Mores and his wife Medora, was born in New York in 1885. In the formal baby portrait, little Louis is seated on a carved and upholstered bench in a white lace layered dress with ruffles around his neck and white silk ribbon around his waist, white socks and dark leather shoes on his feet. To his right is a stuffed dog with a bell on his collar. The dog is an early Steiff stuffed animal. The child is under a year old in this picture.

Summary: An artificial collection from a variety of sources, the collection includes images of family and businesses owned by Marquis de Mores, primarily in Medora, ND and in France. Includes prints, negatives, and albums.
